The tourist industry has been hit the hardest, a complete shut down for the next couple of years. I’m guessing it’s time to save for a motorcycle and start delivering food, but even that is going to take too long. What about quantum healing? Was it a waste to study the secrets of the Andean customs?
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking. Most of my patients were tourists from large cities all over the world, they sensed a terrible threat coming for us. But healing a few hundred wasn’t enough, and even now that nature has taken the place of humanity’s teacher; we’re still unable to understand it’s message.
Now I understand why my mentor told me it was time to share ancient knowledge with the world. His tribe, my tribe, maintained the secrets for generations, waiting to the right time to spread the word. We’ve been lied to. Society was created by the top one percent to protect their interests, they don’t trust us. Why would they?
Ever since we were left in this world, humans haven’t been able to find their place. We’ve tried, but it seems that we’re really above everything else. ‘God’ might have sent us here to use the world and destroy it in the process.
Yet, according to the ancient Andean beliefs, humans were left in the world with a mission; we’re supposed to find our place among all living things. We’ve focused our attention on the physical world, trying to copy the job of animals, plants and insects. After all, we kind of look like some of them, and our society resembles theirs. But we forgot one crucial element, they don’t destroy the world they live in.
Our leaders and their leaders have created this beautiful farm. We’re the livestock, animals to sacrifice when it’s needed. I don’t see the resemblance to any other living creature, they lied to us and got us to follow the rules of society, creating false ideals like heaven and success. Blinded by generations we’ve followed the path they set for us and we can’t even complain. There’s nothing else, we don’t have time to think about anything else.
The path our society is following is selfish, and yet we aren’t. Because we blindly accept to help those in power to gain even more, the problem here is not power itself, but its cost. We’re taking away from nature to give it to them.
This pandemic is showing us that we didn’t really need that much to have a joyful existence. But even now, humans keep on looking for their place in this world. We’ve been lied to, and it’s sad to see that after all the generations we’re still lost, thinking that our ‘god’ is above it all, and our mistakes will be forgiven.
Why aren’t we looking for a place in nature? Did humanity withdraw from the chase of meaning? Are we really just a virus meant to destroy our home? Is there a place for humans in the world?
I’ve been searching for a place. Looking beyond the box, expanding my horizons, traveling and learning from the Andean natives. Trying to understand their lack of greed and finding joy in their lifestyles. But there’s a lot they don’t share with white men, and it took a lot of time to gain their trust, to pass the ‘sacred drugs’ they share with strangers, and experiencing what’s really like to be one of them.
To learn the path they found for humanity in the world.
